Ralph Topping, the CEO of William Hill, makes critical statements about UK’s decision of reforming the gambling industry. Recently, in an interview, Topping stated that these reforms will interrupt the gambling industry of the country. He also said that it is unfair on the Part of the British government to bring about such changes.

The new rules will involve a different taxation structure as well as varied licensing protocols. Topping also referred to some departments of the government, stating that efforts don’t seem to be coordinated among these.

In the opinion of Topping, UK will face difficulties in convincing the gambling operators regarding the changes they sought to bring about. He also stated that William Hill’s decision of shifting to Gibraltar for attaining license was a wise decision in this regard. He mentioned that there is no chance of them coming back to UK. CEO of William Hill also added that Gibraltar has become a popular destination in terms of gambling jurisdiction. In case, UK wants itself to be more attractive in terms of online gambling, it has to change its approach.

The piece meal approach of Topping’s opinion is the disturbing part of his comments. It is true that many sites are moving away from UK for their gambling jurisdiction. But it is also true that UK is still considered to be the best gambling place for some entrepreneurs for being the provider of a fair and stable platform.
